YA KNOW, I had been thinking about getting more stuff on here, and with the mysterious appearance of a certain new follower to this blog, that may have to happen sooner than later.
Make comics Liam, god damn.
September Crayon Crunch! First one ever.
My assignment was for Liam Gregg's character, Rook!
Holy cow, you actually took the time to draw a city. I don’t even do that. You’re awesome, bud.
This is awesome.
I forgot to reblog this here! Not anymore. I was not nearly enthusiastic enough in the first reblog, so THANK YOU AGAIN! I really love this.
FFFFFF okay, this is EXTREMELY COOL. It’s so moody! For half a second, you almost believe Rook is competent. Heh. Thank you Prayke! I love it.
I used Rook for an art trade, and here is the result! Thank you so much JMichek! I love how dynamic this turned out, and the colours are spectacular. The sneakers are my absolute favourite part; those are exactly the sort of kicks Rook would wear for a night out. Thanks again!
My very late submission to Crayoncrunch’s round from last month, of Liamgregg’s character Rook.
How on Earth isn’t JMichek all over Tumblr by now?
Slow, steady, and surrounded by other projects and obligations. But! Hopefully a couple pages next week! That’s the goal, anyway.
I meant to spend a great deal more time working on ACTUAL PAGES on my few days off, but this little distraction took much more time than I feel it should have. I think I can call it DONE, though, and there are another… six?.. pages already in production, so that shouldn’t be too far away, now.
Rook is an amateur vigilante, and not a particularly good one. He gets beat up a lot, and spends just as much time vandalizing property as he does busting crooks.
He lives in a city full of people with superpowers. Rook can jump between 30-40ft (safely), can emit an aura that causes people to become nervous/afraid, and can transform into a shadow. As cool as these are, his abilities pale in comparison to many of those who he would oppose.
Despite his shortcomings, his head really is in the right place, and he just wants to do right by the people of Pacific City, however he can.
Hey… This isn’t gonna be about teen girls at all. Shucks.
An uplifting comic about white teenage girls rebelling against society and discovering themselves in the process.
I completely forgot about this, but wow hey, I kinda like the concept. I should… finish it and make it a print, eventually.
